Cécile Gonay's short bio

Vocal frontwoman of Soysoy, Cécile's haunted voice, with its sorcery tones, has often been compared to Lisa Gerrard's. She's also an experienced guitarist and piano player.

Always looking for new musical adventures, she began to play drums in 2003. She truly is incredible!

Cécile learned her craft by playing with numerous indie-rock bands. When forming Soysoy in 1999, her musical approach changed completely as she got close to the spirit of traditional music and free-spirited pop, moving away from the prefabricated, coercive notion of 'style'.
